The Mets secured first place in a game that was... what  do you call a game that is beyond "a laugher"? A blowout would be a good term. A shellacking!
Colon pitched an exquisite game and rook Michael Conforto ripped a line homer that gave New York an early lead that was tacked onto mightily as the Mets beat the Marlins to take sole possession of first place in the National League.

From here on out during the run for the pennant there will be a card for every game we are in first place and for every win. Making cards for losses at this point would be such a drag. So why make em? There's always a possibility that I might do up a remarkable loss.

I assume everyone visiting will already know what transpired Mets wise so I won't get in the way with my blabbering ( I should have made a Cespedes and a Bartolo for this game) and hopefully what we have here is a card by card record of the New York Mets run to the World Series.

Tomorrow Night, win or lose or draw,
NL Players Of The Week card!

I'd like to thank Metsingaround via/tumblr for the images, .gifs, and other cool Mets stuff that they share.
