>>>>What an awful weekend...

...but the Washington Nationals are playing worse than us and we can thanks the Gods of Baseball for that.

As a rule I don't make cards for losses but that was one incredible throw by Cespedes in Saturday night's game and I consider it card-worthy for the season set.

I ran into this nice picture of Shea Stadium's scoreboard under construction and I whipped up this mfc SCOREBOARD card to add to the mfc SCOREBOARD collection.

>Jacob deGrom is on a 15-start roll, with a big league-best 1.46 ERA in that span. He makes his sixth career start against an AL team (2-2, 3.06), when New York faces the Orioles in Baltimore on Tuesday.

>1B Lucas Duda (lumbar strain) did not start for a sixth straight game. He walked as a pinch hitter in the 12th Saturday and should be back in the lineup Tuesday, after an off day.

>The Mets dropped to 9-20 vs. the NL Central. They are 48-29 against the rest of the league.

  1. That's a fascinating photo of the scoreboard... A welcome addition to your Scoreboard Collection!

    1. Thank you Mr. Shlabotnick.
Wait til you see the next one. I'm redoing the 64mfc Scoreboard Card, removing the B&W construction shot on that card and making it a full color shot of the fully functioning scoreboard as it looked on the day Shea opened in April '64.

Thanks for stopping by Joe. 5 game lead! LGM!
